day1 . yes my task was to babysit my mentally ill grandma living at tampines. its living hell there..there's television, but hasnt been switched on for ages so its spoiled. computer is out of the question..in the first place , she doesnt even know that there are such things called camera phones. well no CDs , DVDs and VCDs. She doesnt even know how to use a CD.. the only treasures in her house is a 2 decade old radio which casettes can only be inserted , a refrigerator and her television. There was no fan and the scorching sunlight kept invading the apartment. Luckily i had brought a book and that day's newspaper , it still wasnt enough to keep me occupied! i spent 8 hours at her house. You can imagine what life was like without entertainment. That doesnt matter anyway, its just for a day. But imagine this old folk doing almost nothing everyday..and to add on she lives alone. there will be 2 kinds of results if i live there forever. I will go crazy for sure and age faster. My grandma scared me..she would be frantic at times , run to her bed and cover herself with her clothes saying she heard someone trying to kill her.. -_-" or else she would not switch on the lights at night and start chanting buddhist sutras..alittle creepy.
